About Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS)
Interstitial cystitis (IC), also known as bladder pain syndrome (BPS), is a chronic condition that can cause bladder pain, pressure, and discomfort as well as affect urinary frequency (how often you urinate) and urgency (how badly you need to urinate)
IC/BPS is not an infection, but may feel like a urinary tract infection (UTI) or bladder infection
About twice as many women are affected as men
People with IC/BPS often experience pain during sex
Clinical research is needed to evaluate safe and effective treatments.
This is where this Interstitial Cystitis Bladder Pain Syndrome Study comes in.
